Boston fern: The plant is highly efficient at reducing indoor air pollutants like benzene, formaldehyde, and xylene. It is one of the very popular house indoor plant and grown easily in hanging baskets or similar conditions.

Ivy: It is one of the effective indoor plants to reduce spreading of excreta, especially found in toothbrushes which are kept near the bathrooms. Ivy is a must-have at home. Snake plant: It is similar to the spider plant and more suitable for the bathrooms, it can survive in low light and humid conditions. It is durable and performs photosynthesis under low light, making it an ideal indoor plant. The plan filters out formaldehyde which is commonly found in personal care products. Snake Plant is a great option for a bedroom plant also as it produces oxygen during the night.

Peace lilies: As per the NASA research report, the Peace lily removes toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene from the air and keeping 15-18 of these in a 500 sq. m area to purify the air. It is one of the most productive of cleansing the air of the breathing space. Peace lily is also looks different and the top most part stands like a hood of a snake. It is one of the pretty plants to keep in the bedroom. The plant needs less light and weekly watering to survival easily.

Areca palm: It is also known as bamboo palm, golden cane palm, yellow palm or butterfly palm. It is a species of flowering plant in the Arecaceae family. As per NASA report, Dr B C Wolverton said that areca palm can filter indoor air pollutants like xylene and toluene easily. A 1.8 m Areca palm (5 ft 11 in) in height, it can transpire 1 liter of water in 24 hours, thereby making it an effective humidifier.
